In 2015, Pressnitztalbahn decided to purchase the four 76 000 series stock locomotives. Originally, the locomotives featured a F/B/NL configuration. Prior to delivery to German operator, this was changed into a D/B/NL configuration. Additionally, Pressnitztalbahn acquired 246 011-1 from IGT later in 2015.
