In 2011, LNVG decided to put up three of its Traxx DE locomotives for sale. Consequently, 246 001-2 and 246 010-3 were sold to the hvle. The third one, locomotive 246 011-1 was sold to Inbetriebnahmegesellschaft Transporttechnik mbH (IGT) from Lengede on 22 December 2011.
