In short
All locomotives in this section were originally ordered by Porterbrook Leasing. On November 16, 2004 the European activities of Porterbrook were continued by CB Rail Leasing. This leasing company, based in Luxemburg, also took over Porterbrook's fleet of JT42CWR / Class 66 locomotives. On April 6, 2010 Ascendos Rail Leasing took over a large part of CB Rail's fleet. Part of the takeover were the 24 locomotives mentioned in this section. Three locomotives remained property of CB Rail and are now property of Macquarie European Rail.
Of the 24 locomotives, 21 are equipped for services in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Another 2 locomotives only have type approval for Belgium and Germany, while the remaing locomotives is additionally equipped for Poland next to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
