The German railways have published their experience with the seven new 245 series locomotives (Bombardier Traxx DE Multi Engine), now being in revenue service for one year. NOx emission -50%, 9% of fuel savings compared to the old 218 series locos. As the 245s have diesel soot particle filters installed, the emission of particles has dropped with 90%.
