GBRf 66713 is currently receiving a makeover. More than a week ago, the machine was released from the Electro-Motive Services International (EMSI) facility at Longport (Stoke-on-Trent), where amongst other things the machine was fitted with new windows that provide better sound insulation. Currently, 66713 is receiving the current GBRf (EuroTunnel) livery at Eastleigh.

GBRf 66714 is now present at Longport and is believed to receive the same treatment. It shows how GBRf is slowly modifying more units of the original Class 66 type JT42CWR to increase driver comfort, while at the same time introducing the current livery on machines that not yet carry it.
