In France, the first Akiem Prima diesel locomotive to by SNCF Intercités has turned up. Ten such units will replace the old BB 67400 locomotives on the overnight trains Paris Austerlitz - Rodez/Albi and Paris Austerlitz - Briancon.

The most noticable changes for the machines involved are the installation of an on-board communication system for drivers and stewards, and the assignment to a new sub-series: BB 75300. The first unit that received its new number is 75028. It is now known as 75328.
